Book Your Educational Visit to the Jewry Wall Museum
Our educational visits are available year-round, and we recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date.
During your visit, your class will use a trail to navigate the exhibition and uncover key facts about life in Roman Leicester. This trail is included in the cost of your visit and will be provided upon arrival, along with pencils.

Adult : Pupil ratios
KS1 groups: 1 adult free with every 6 pupils
KS2 groups: 1 adult free with every 8 pupils
KS3 groups: 1 adult free with every 10 pupils
Booking
Booking can be made by email learning@leicester.gov.uk or by using our Learning Enquiry Form
Once you have a provisional or confirmed booking with us, you can book a free familiarisation visit. This is free for the teachers who will be leading your group on the day of your visit.
Facilities at the Jewry Wall Museum
There are ? toilets on site at Jewry Wall Museum… (details of toilets on each floor, are they unisex, etc.).
The exhibition includes video and sound, tactile displays, hands-on activities.
If you haven’t already made lunch arrangements, the Museum does have rooms which can be booked for lunch by schools. Please let us know if you would like to use this space when making your booking.
Payment Information
Payment can be made by cheque, credit or debit card in advance of your visit, or on the day. We can invoice UK organisations after your visit.
On arrival you will need to confirm the total amount of pupils and accompanying adults in the group. If you are being invoiced after your visit, these are the numbers which we will use to raise the invoice. If you are paying on arrival, please ensure that you allow an extra five minutes for the process of payment.
Special educational needs and pupils with disabilities
We warmly welcome visits from all groups, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Please contact us at learning@leicester.gov.uk if you would like to arrange a visit for a SEND group, and we will tailor the experience to meet your specific needs. Carers accompanying these groups are entitled to free admission

Travel information for group arrivals
For convenient drop-off and pick-up of your group, coaches can use the designated area at the corner of Talbot Lane and St Nicholas Circle, LE1 4LB. Please note, this location is strictly for drop-off and pick-up purposes only.
If you require coach parking, kindly inform us at the time of booking. We are happy to assist you with parking arrangements to ensure a smooth experience for your group.
